Gorontalo City – Monday (May 8th, 2017). Bank Indonesia of Gorontalo invites NSLIC to mapping Micro, Small, and Medium Entreprises (MSMEs). Manager of Communications, Coordination and Policy Unit KPW Bank Indonesia Gorontalo Unggul Priatna visited the office of NSLIC Gorontalo. His arrival was a return visit, after previously the Gorontalo NSLIC Team went to the office of Bank Indonesia (BI). This meeting discussed the follow-up of cooperation between BI team and NSLIC project related to the existing MSME mapping plan in Gorontalo Province.
The initiation of this MSME mapping was presented by Unggul Priatna because Bank Indonesia does not hold valid data about how many business actors are included in the SME classification. NSLIC Provincial Coordinator Gorontalo Apridon Zaini responded positively to this BI call. According to him, valid data is the basis for a proper planning and decision making. Therefore, the collaboration of MSME mapping activities between NSLIC and BI projects is a step forward to obtain reliable accountable data.
BI itself in 2016 could conduct a study of local business potential, which involves local universities as a team of experts. However, the results of the study can not be published because some of the data used has not been validated. In fact, according to him, the result of this business potential study is expected to be a baseline for investors in investing capital and for banks in preparing economic development activities in the financial aspect.
To finalize the plan of this MSME mapping activity, further the BI will prepare the concept and frame of reference mapping. Next will be scheduled discussion discussion of concept mapping between NSLIC team and BI.
