Title of project: The Development of Corn Kernels Cultivation in Agropolitan Area “Rasau Jaya”
The exact location of the project is in Rasau Jaya Sub District. Rasau Jaya is the national priority area with the featured commodity is corn (sweet corn, hybrid and local type of corn). Farmers so far doing the traditional/conventional corn cultivation and post – harvest.
The project aims to assist and train farmers in the cultivation technology, during the post – harvest trainings untuk membuat produk olahan jagung to add value (the making of corn noodle, corn tortilla, corn crackers, instant porridge, canned baby corn etc); technical assistance for e marketing and; corn plantation agro tourism management in 7 villages in Rasau Jaya areas.
The project is expected to improve the agriculture production in terms of quality and quantity, the harvesting techniques, the variety of olahan jagung, increase the productivity and innovation in olahan jagung and to reduce the failure of corn harvesting, knowledge improvement, local production and products, and boost the income and increase the overall economy.
