Title of project: The Development of Tourism Based Innovation in “Luwita” Village Areas

The innovation activities in Pinrang will cover: 1) fish processing trainings (trainings on how to produce the smoked fish, boiled fish, cold storage procurement and techniques, post – storage processed, and how to produce boneless milk fish); 2) Coral reef development (socialization of coral reef development for coastal communities, coral transplant training, training on how to conserve coral reefs; 3) Seaweed development (drafting of seaweed development master plan, trainings on sea weed cultivation, procurement and trainings on the seaweed packaging; 4) trainings on coconut shell handicraft skills; 5) institutional strengthening of local village owned enterprises; 5) e – marketing.

It is expected that the project will contribute to the provision of job opportunities for the local communities, improvement of knowledge and skills of the local people especially women’s small industries.

Target beneficiaries: fishermen groups, MSMEs
